Not often that I pick a novel for pleasure reading. I found this a pleasure without being too offensive. Imagine!
Good suspense and romance!
I would dream about the characters.
A wonderful book that unfortunately is no longer available in the library. Friends who don't have a e-reader are unable to enjoy it!
I like reading Cynthia Freeman novels but this one, in my opinion, was not one of tghe better ones.
I love Cynthia Freeman's books. This is the 3rd and each are great. I feel as if I'm watching a movie when I read her books. I never want them to end. Perhaps she will start writing sequels.
The story involves the lives of an Englishman who becomes enamored with a bohemian girl in Paris prior to WWI and their lives through that war then the years up to and including the occupation of France in WWII. It is an interesting story of personalities, intrigue and suspense.
